The Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning (STP) marketing model is considered successful when:

  1. The business is satisfied with the target market segment with all the reasons and attributes that thoroughly convince people to buy from it.

  2. It has been appropriately positioned

  3. The company is able to continuously think and research creatively about the target market and marketing strategies

  4. It can grow the business profitably through greater process effectiveness and better product positioning that can be used to win over the market
